Big Coco looks after all the kids at the Big School, keeping them safe, dry, and on time. But when a science experiment goes wrong and opens a portal to a world of silly and slightly scary monsters, Coco and Little Jack must team up to find their way home.
Corey Thomas

Corey Thomas is a professional school security guard in Los Angeles who believes every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported.
Before working in schools, Corey spent over a decade in high profile residential security, protecting celebrities and executives. When he was offered the opportunity to move into school security, he was unsure at first. Today, he calls it one of the best decisions he has ever made.
For the past seven years, Corey has built lasting relationships with students and their families. To many of them, he is more than a security guard; he is a friend. His real lifeexperience helping kids every day helped inspire the heart of this story.
Henry Yu
WRITER AND ILLUSTRATOR
Henry Yu is an animator and director based in Los Angeles who brings cinematic storytelling and bold visual energy to every project.
He directed Surf's Up 2: Wavemania for Sony Pictures Animation and developed original animated features at Netflix. A graduate of California Institute of the Arts in Character Animation, Henry began his career storyboarding on Sym-Bionic Titan and has worked as a story artist on films including Hotel Transylvania.
This is his first children’s book.
We’re bringing Big Coco to life because this story deserves to be in the hands of kids who love laughter, adventure, and a little bit of chaos.
