CORY EVANS
Cory Evans is a director, creator, and part-time lumberjack living in Vancouver, Canada, with his wife and two children. He divides his time between working among the trees in the Canadian mountains and crafting animated films.
Most recently, Cory served as Head of Story and Executive Producer at Mediawan on Twisted (2027). In this role, he led the story department, guided key phases of preproduction, and served as part of the film’s brain trust, helping shape its visual language, tone, and cinematic style.
Cory is known for his directing work on Invincible and The Wiloughbys. On Invincible, he directed Episode 104 and helped establish the series’ production pipeline and workflow, drawing on his extensive 2D animation experience. On The Wiloughbys, Cory served as the sole director during
the film’s first year of production, leading its creative development and managing the full scope of the project. In addition to guiding the film’s creative vision, he helped shape its production strategy and budget alocation, positioning it to compete at the highest level of animated feature filmmaking.
Growing up, Cory was deeply inspired by a wide array of cultural inuences that shaped his creative journey and voice.
From the thought-provoking themes in punk music to the satirical and subversive wit of MAD Magazine, and the comedic brilliance of films like Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Cory draws inspiration from the world around him to continuously create new stories. He firmly believes in the transformative power of humor to challenge perceptions and connect with the audiences.
