MADDIE BREWER
Maddie Brewer is making weird art for the weirdos of the world. She is a freelance director, animator, illustrator, and writer based in Los Angeles. Her short, "Burgerworld", premiered at Sundance 2023. Maddie is currently developing her own original shows for both Amazon and Adult Swim. She also just wrapped as a writer and storyboard artist on the reboot of THE REGULAR SHOW.
She's influenced by the time she spent there wandering around thrift stores, going to local shows, smoking in the alley behind her parent's house, and hitting up the Golden Nugget diner in the middle of the night. She enjoys writing character-centric stories and aims to highlight the comedy inherent in the strangeness of being alive. She loves making illustrations and animations that feel grimy, visually dense, and wonky. Her projects are typically centered around women and non-binary people.
She’s worked with clients such as Bento Box, Adult Swim, VICE, Blink Inc, Grin Machine, Augenblick, Nickelodeon, and more! She’s interested in directing and pitching shorts, TV, and feature projects, as well as jumping onto cool existing projects as a writer or production designer!
