RYAN PEQUIN

Ryan Pequin is a writer, director, and storyboard artist from a little town in British Columbia, Canada. He has been drawing, goofing off, and building stories for as long as he can remember. Ryan is best known as the creator of Three Word Phrase, a popular comedy webcomic that skewers the everyday tedium of real life, while adding a huge dose of runaway dream logic goofiness. It also changed the English language (this is true, I swear).

In 2014, Ryan’s comics caught the attention of Regular Show creator JG Quintel, who hired him on as a writer and storyboard artist. Ryan quickly jogged down to Los Angeles, where he worked at Cartoon Network for another ten years, storyboarding, writing, and directing on "Infinity Train," "Close Enough," and "Summer Camp Island." Ryan ultimately left Cartoon Network to take on the role of head writer and co-executive producer for Apple TV+ series "Shape Island," an adaptation of Jon Klassen and Mac Barnett's beloved children's books. Ryan hopes to continue writing funny things until he dies.
