HENRY YU
Henry is a Chinese American animation director who made his directorial debut, "Surf's Up 2:Wavemania" (2017) for Sony Pictures Animation. Henry was most recently in an animation-exclusive overall deal with Alpha Animation, where he was developing projects to direct. He is an alumnus of the Film and Video school at CalArts, where he majored in Character Animation.
Henry started his career fresh out of school, storyboarding on Genndy Tartakovsky’s "Sym-Bionic Titan" series. He served as story artist on Sony Pictures Animation’s "Popeye", "Medusa", "Can You Imagine?" and "Hotel Transylvania" features. Henry is fluent in Mandarin and is based in Los Angeles.
